Do you have a lively, fuzzy puppy aged 5-12 months? If so, our Older Puppy Socialization Class is perfect for you! This 4-week course is tailored specifically for older puppies ready to begin obedience training while still needing off-leash socialization. Social Butterfly: Intermediate 1 Obedience Class

Love to adventure about town and want your pup by your side? This class is perfect for pet parents eager to bring their furry friends on every adventure! Have Pup, Will Travel is our Intermediate Obedience class, designed to prepare your dog for success in busy, distracting environments.

Building on basic obedience, this class focuses on:

• Advanced focus and attention.

• Steady stays and reliable recalls (even in exciting situations).

• Walk-by “leave it” que among other essential skills in distractive environments

• Fun tricks and new behaviors to enhance your pup’s training journey.

What makes this class truly special? We take training out into the real world! Through outings to public settings, your pup will gain valuable experience navigating various scenarios, paving the way to becoming an AKC Canine Good Citizen.

Have a fuzzy bundle of fur and energy on your hands? If so, our New Puppy Socialization Class is for you! This 4-week class caters specifically to pups 10 weeks through 5 months of age. It focuses on puppy play (socialization) time, proper puppy body language, learning how to safely socialize your pup, managing common puppy behaviors, calming and focus techniques, and a few basic obedience skills.

This class is designed to work with puppies' short attention spans and allows for play breaks and down time. Each hour-long class includes a discussion on topics such as nipping/biting, potty training, crate training, controlled play, and more.

This is a great class for first-time puppy owners and as a refresher for experienced owners.

To participate in class, 2SD requires proof of at least two rounds of the following vaccinations: distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza (typically reflected in records as 'DHPP'), as well as bordetella. Proof of rabies vaccination is required for puppies 16 weeks and older.

Basic Obedience Level II has a well-rounded curriculum designed to continue you and your dog's training education. We will continue to build on the commands in Level I by "proofing" them for use in public situations, add new and more advanced obedience commands, and introduce real life rewards to wean off of treats. We cover sit, down, stay at levels beyond introduction, mental games and tricks, as well as stand and wait commands. Two class sessions will meet in public locations so as to introduce the pups to training with real life distractions.

2SpeakDog encourages attendance by the whole family. If you have young children, we ask that two adults attend class when possible.

This class has a well-rounded beginner curriculum designed to introduce obedience as well as good manners and social behavior. Basic Level I is appropriate for pups of all ages with little to no previous obedience training, including:

--Rescue/adopted dogs
--Adult dogs that have not previously attended a formal obedience class
--Pups that have recently completed our New Puppy Socialization Class!

We cover basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, leave it, etc. We also introduce leash walking, feeding rituals, tricks, and strategies for impolite behaviors such as jumping. This is an on-leash class. Pups under 1 year of age will have the opportunity to earn their AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy title on graduation night.

The class covers basic obedience, loose leash walking, understanding puppy body language, safe socialization practices, managing common behaviors, calming and focus techniques, and a few essential obedience skills.
